    Stephani grew up in the mountain west and draws much of her inspiration from western landscapes, history and culture. As an experienced ceramic sculptor, Stephenson traveled to Spain in 1997 to  study its Ceramic traditions. Shifting her focus from Sculpture to tile and architectural ceramics, , she relocated her studio to San Diego . With her business “Revival Tileworks”,  Stephenson incorporates period and revival influences  into her tilework. She lectures and teaches workshops in tilemaking, tile history, ceramic sculpture and studio scale architectural ceramics.

OCCUPATION:
2000 to present : sculptor / tilemaker specializing in relief tile ,  architectural ceramics. 
Clients include designers, corporations,  nonprofits, homeowners, contractors and architects . Experienced in all phases of process including design, sculpting, moldmaking, work  with client, project bid, fabrication, layout,glaze formulation, firing, and glazing .

1998-1999. Sculptor . Alchemie Studio. Studio specializing in RAM pressed relief and field tile.

1990 to 1998.  Studio Artist. Ceramic Sculpture , Missoula , MT. Created work for  Exhibits and Galleries in the Northwest and Intermountain West .

1991-1997: Manager:Art Materials: the  Bookstore at the University of Montana. Missoula , MT

1990-91. Full time instructor, Chemeketa Community College, Salem OR. Taught Ceramics, (Handbuilding, Wheelthrowing and Ceramic Sculpture) , Sculpture, and Life Drawing .  managed Ceramics and Sculpture facility and Program.

1988-90. Instructor, GTF, Ceramics, University of Oregon, Eugene Oregon.
